Tinubu: “You’ve Lost Sound Reasoning”, Faleke Carpets Aregbesola

Published

… Says Tinubu Doesn’t Play God, He’s Just Large Hearted.

The claim that the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is playing God has been refuted by the people and Asiwaju’s fellow constituents of Ikeja Federal Constituency

Former Governor of Osun State and Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, while speaking at different political rallies in Ilesa and Iwo towns of Osun State, accused the former Governor of Lagos State of trying to play God in his actions and utterances.

Reacting to the statement, the Lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Honourable James Abiodun Faleke, on behalf of the people of the Constituency, disagreed with Aregbesola completely.
Rather, he said Aregbesola has unfortunately allowed his present personal opinions, interests and emotions to becloud his reasoning, beliefs and the teachings of his religion.

When many of us including and especially Hon Aregbesola and our families look back to pre-1999 and see the level we were, and how God has used this same Asiwaju’s selfless efforts, sagacity, intellect, and money to mentor and promote us, we should be eternally grateful to God instead of engaging in ego tripping ! If for once we fail to have everything our way as before, we should be humble enough to appreciate the fact that we can’t win all the time.
God will not come down physically but will use people to help us to achieve our goals and that role of destiny helper is what Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been and is still playing.

“Asiwaju has never played God, rather his actions and utterances have always been divinely ordained.”

“The man has always been guided by the spirit of God. There are so many politians he has mentored and supported to greatness and they will forever be grateful to him.

“Take my humble self for instance. He did not know from Adam. He does not know my parents. I’m from Kogi State but look at how he has picked, mentored and supported me to what I’ve become today. Can that person be accused of playing God? No! Where that is coming from is to say the least, very disappointing,” Faleke said.

He pledged the total support of the people of Ikeja Federal Constituency to the presidential aspiration of Asiwaju Tinubu, once again reiterating that Asiwaju has all the qualities not only to govern Nigeria but also to take it to greater heights.

* Asks Nigerians to Always Seek Lawful Means in Seeking Redress

By Ojone Grace Odaudu

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has felicitated with Governors Simi Fubara of Rivers State and Agbu Kefas of Taraba State respectively on the affirmation of their electoral victories by the Supreme Court.

In a post on his ‘X’ handle, the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 elections described the victory as not only for the governors, but also the Peoples Democratic Party, the Nigerian electorate and all lovers of democracy and justice.

He enjoined all Nigerians to be vigilant and to always rely on lawful means in seeking redress as he has always done.

The post:

“I celebrate with governors @SimFubaraKSC of Rivers State and @GovAgbuKefas of Taraba State, whose victory at last year’s gubernatorial election polls were unanimously affirmed today by the Supreme Court. No doubt this is not just personal victory but victory for the PDP family, the Nigerian electorate, and all lovers of Democracy and Justice.

Indeed, their victory has reinforced the hope of the survival of our democracy, which citizens are getting disillusioned and disenchanted with the APC’s win-at-all-cost policy and brazen disregard for the rule of law.

I enjoin all Nigerians to be vigilant and to always rely on lawful means in seeking redress as I have always done, and by the grace of God, we shall triumph.

Accept my congratulations, Your Excellencies. -AA”

The Supreme Court on Friday affirmed the elections of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, effectively killing the appeals filed by the governorship candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party in the state.

Similarly, the apex court also upheld the election of Bauchi State governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, ruling against the appeal by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress,

In a twist of fates, the court upturned the verdict of the court of appeal which nullified the election of Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State, saying that the appellate court’s decision to uphold the tribunal’s earlier decision was wrong.
