COVID-19 High-risk status: Group begs Kogites to protect themselves

…Urges NGO’s, Organise Private Sectors to aid Kogites, amidst decadence in governance

Kogi Patriotic Group KPG has begged the people of Kogi state to adhere strictly to the protocols of COVID-19 in the absence of good governance in Kogi.

The call became necessary amidst controversies surrounding the high risk rate status of the state ,and the state government lack of will to protect the health and well being of it’s Citizens.

According to Abdul Abdul, this is high time the public spirited individuals,organised private Sectors, Non Governmental Organisations (NGO’s) both within and outside the country to roll out their social services template and assistance,as the state government has abdicated it’s social responsibility.

‘It is now obvious that we have obvious failures, called ‘government’ that only believe is celebrations of birthdays,house warming ceremony,weddings and naming ceremony.’

‘It is pathetic at this point in time in Kogi state were civil servants are being denied their statutory rights, with underfed families and percentage salaries at the local government is being compounded by the global health challenges of COVID-19.’

‘The only good thing the people of Kogi state are now benefitting from the state government is an imposed impression of free COVID-19 pandemic status, warning the people of the state, not to risk their lives for a government that is inhuman.’

‘Endeavour to protect your self by adhering strictly to protocols,avoid crowded environment,observe social distancing,wash your hands with soap and running water even though,the taps are dry since the beginning of this year’.

He urged kogites not to joke with their health,saying this goverrment want to use this opportunity to further reduce the workers and citizens population through deaths.

Abdul appeal to NCDC to set up testing centres in all boarders of Kogi state ,to avoid infecting traveler’s from other states of the federation.

He urged the people to pray fervently to bring to an end this present administration that enjoyed seeing it’s citizens suffering and smiling.

‘This is aside the decadence of public utilities and infrastructure with media space award of contracts of roads to sub standard contractors.’
